The workshop, organised by NCF, will be preceded on 8th November evening by a welcome buffet at the Barbizon Palace Hotel.
Objective of the event :
The objective of the initial workshop is to bring together European and international HPC stakeholders, and to share information especially on needs/challenges with respect to efficient software for future Exascale systems. The implementation of the eight working groups as well as the preliminary results of the cartography work will be presented. The workshop will also benefit from European HPC projects and initiatives, as well as from IESP and its international contacts.
After a contextual introduction sessions about the European and international HPC initiatives, the activities and contribution of EESI to some key current challenges will be handled through two sessions:
- Working Groups presentations in the morning (9:30 to 12:00): Implementation, objectives, activities…
- Presentation of the cartography activities in the afternoon (13:00 to 16:00): Highlights of the investigations and presentations by International Keynote speakers.
